Growing up as a kid in Brazil in the 80s, it was hard not to fall in love with it. But there was a problem: I had never met a single advertising creative in my life.

That changed in my first copywriting class in college. It’s been almost 25 years, but I still remember the feeling of putting ideas on paper. I even remember the classroom I was in! By the end of that class, the teacher, who was a creative director and was starting his own agency, offered me an internship.

That first internship took me to my first job—and I’ve never had any other job ever since. Why would I? I still love this—and have loved every step of the way.

I loved being selected as one of Brazil’s best creatives under 28 and getting to go to Cannes as a Young Lion in 2008.

I loved being promoted to Creative Director the following year, when I was only 27.

Loved being President of a Creative Club (CCPR), loved being named “Advertising Professional of the Year” by Colunistas-PR, loved being a teacher and a mentor, loved being ranked among the best creatives in the world by the One Show and The Drum.

I loved changing countries. Loved working with some of my advertising heroes and learning from them. Working in Pharma and Healthcare advertising since 2020, I love how our ideas can have a real impact on people’s lives. I love how our clients are smart people who can literally change the world (remember the pandemic?).

I guess the Beatles were right.
